A Tribute to Rob

In honor of Rob's 37th birthday, I wanted to post 37 things I love about my husband.

  1. His blue eyes.
  2. He is a totally committed spouse and I know we are each other's first priority.
  3. He loves spending time with our kids - he will usually take a child with him when he runs an errand or goes running.
  4. If he does something, he does it well.
  5. He encourages us to do things together as a family - hiking, MarioKart, Nerf guns, trampoline.
  6. He loves to read the latest health research and then acts on it.
  7. He stays up on current events and shares them with me.
  8. He can carry on a conversation about practically anything.
  9. He works extremely hard at his job without complaining.
  10. He doesn't mind if we eat out.
  11. He has a deep appreciation for music of many genres and shares new songs that he has discovered.
  12. Anytime I need help, he will be there.
  13. He makes life fun.
  14. He believes in following through.
  15. My family loves him.
  16. When he was scoutmaster, the boys respected him because he earned their respect - he expected a lot and made things fun.
  17. He composes his own piano pieces.
  18. He loves serving in primary and nursery.
  19. We are unified as parents and agree on all of the important things.
  20. He encourages all of us to be a little better.
  21. He understands when our house is a mess.
  22. He is extremely intelligent.
  23. He is happy to put the kids to bed so I can go to book club or the gym.
  24. We love to talk with each other - he will often ask me to come and talk to him while he shovels the driveway or rides the exercise bike.
  25. He loves bookstores and libraries as much as I do - our dates often end up there.
  26. He trusts me to take care of our finances.
  27. He often makes Sunday dinner.
  28. He notices the needs of others and will be the first offer to help - my grandma climbing in and out of her wheelchair, a friend needing a spreadsheet for her business, a deacon that needs to learn how to work/earn money
  29. He vacuums the stairs.
  30. He reminds me to laugh.
  31. He loves to read.
  32. He wants me to tag along on his business trips.
  33. He comes up with awesome analogies to teach our kids principles.
  34. He is good at practically everything he tries.
  35. He appreciates nature and enjoys biking down to Utah Lake.
  36. He is patient with my obsession with theme parks, especially Disneyland.
  37. Our puppy loves him.
