December Delights

I have seen a few different families post the dancing elves and thought they were really cute. Thanks, Jan and Laura, for creating ours for us! Click here to see our dancing kids!

Our first snow this winter was a few weeks ago. The kids had a blast running, tasting, and building in the snow.

Here is a picture of Jacob with his first three teeth. Two more are breaking through this week.

This is the first time I've made something in the kitchen that I thought was worthy of a picture. These are cinnamon/white chocolate/caramel apples. YUM!! Thanks, Krista for the recipe! I was amazed at how easy they were to make and they taste fabulous! You melt caramels, dip the apples, let them harden, melt white chocolate, dip the caramel apples and then sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.

Since I already had my camera out, I took a picture of these Andes Mint cookies...thanks to Cami for the recipe! You can buy Andes mint chips during the holiday season in the grocery store...or you can chop up your own Andes mints.

These are our kamakazi hummingbirds that forgot to fly South. They are very protective of their territory and "their" feeder. They seem to dart at you if you try to walk by. More crazy birds.

They usually fight over the feeder, but this time they were all sharing. By the way, my camera is not zoomed in!

We probably won't post again until after the holidays...have a MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

  6. Cute kids! Those are some great snow pics-looks like you guys had some fun with it. And 5 teeth!?! Wow, Jacob is really growing up fast! Jack just popped out his first tooth, and he was pretty fussy about the whole thing, so I can't imagine 5 teeth all at once!

  10. I think those are the same killer-death-hummingbirds that we used to watch from our porch in Phoenix. They fought like crazy over the feeder. We even have footage of one of them poking another one in the butt with his beak. Ya, good times!... :)

Mmm, are the andes mint choco chip cookies the same as the toll house kind only with andes instead?

  11. So after your crow post, I realized that my yard had multiple crows every night when I got home. I don't know if they were always there or if I'm heightened to it now. :)

    Those cookies look very tasty!!
