Lake Tahoe

Rob had a finance conference in Lake Tahoe.
He was nice enough to invite me along.
My mom was nice enough to come and watch our kids.

Here are some pictures of Lake Tahoe.
The lake is much more clear and turquoise-blue than my cell phone camera can portray.

We rode on the Dixie II (a 450 passenger paddle-boat) to Emerald Bay on a sight-seeing tour. Once I was done turning green, it was lovely.

 Emerald Bay:
Sunset from our hotel room balcony:
Ever since seeing a bear a few years ago while leading Erica's 2nd grade Girl Scout troop, I have a slight obsession with seeing bears in the wild. These signs made me laugh.
 The bear-proof trash cans:
I wasn't laughing when we found lots of these large patches of what we are pretty sure is bear fur along our secluded walk:
 To show the size:
We ate out every. single. meal.
 My favorite picnic bench:
Cool lights at the Reno airport:

THANK YOU to my mom for watching our kids (and dog) and for keeping Jacob from bumping is arm. No small task. Thank you also for leaving my house looking like a million dollars, including my pantry (which Jacob is happy we can see the back of now). We always love when Grandma comes - hooray!

  1. Spending a week with Erica, Robby, and Jacob was really fun. There wasn't a quiet moment until 9:00 pm. I'm home and my ears are resting, but it is a little lonely.
