Sick Mom = Oxymoron?

When you are a child and you're sick, it may not be fun, but you get pampered, you get fed chicken & stars soup, and you get to watch lots of movies. When you are a dad and you are sick, you (hopefully) can take off of work and stay in bed all day. When you are a mom and sick, life continues...at the same pace it always has. I caught a cold yesterday. Not just any cold, but the kind that goes from 0-60 in less than 12 hours. Luckily, I have a very sweet husband who set up the humidifier for me, got the kids ready, and was more than happy to take the car to work in 12 degree weather.

Now I have a daughter who is almost better and an afternoon kindergartner ready to play. I have no voice, so Erica had to call the school to excuse herself. Ha!

My thoughts are with all of those sick moms out there!

  1. I'm so sorry you're sick! I'm feeling great, but Dade barfed yesterday (for the first time!), so I'm sure that will change shortly. Especially since I kissed him all day not knowing he was sick, and took a nap with him breathing on me...

  3. Love your cartoons. Hate the fact that you are sick. Also loved Erica's message on my cell phone saying you were too sick to call. Get well soon. Sure love you!
