The Big Five

Here's to Robby turning FIVE! When I'm thinking about Robby, these are some words that come to mind:

genuine, pleaser, mellow, intelligent, memorizer, animal junkie, computer savvy, kind brother, doesn't mind being bossed, helpful, sensitive, doesn't like scary movies (if you can consider Veggietales scary), chocolate lover, content, book reader, friend maker, calm unless wrestling

Robby is so easy to love. Even as a brand new baby, he slept a lot and was content. As a 1-yr-old, he would take 3 hour naps and would entertain himself for hours. As a 2 and 3 year old, the expected tantrums never came. This past year, he's continued to be interested in the world. We play games together a few times a week. He LOVES Mo Willems books and has many of them memorized because of listening to them during Circle at school. He loves electronics and often begs for time on the computer. Robby always wants everyone to be happy. He's a peacemaker. He's an enormous source of strength for me. WE LOVE YOU, ROBBY!

This is Robby on the bus, with his friend, Ethan & their bus driver (who always slips me caramel candies):
The view from Robby's classroom (okay, imagine it's sunny and there are leaves on the trees) -- pretty cool, huh?
Robby specifically asked me to bring donuts for his birthday. There was another bday, so the kids got donuts AND cupcakes. I was jealous.
Robby is notorious for taking very big bites, lately.Robby pays close attention during Circle. He comes home and asks me to check the books out at the library. He also teaches Erica all the songs they sing.
We had a birthday party for Robby, equipped with a pinata, games, Cars theme, and dying camera batteries.
I've always loved the candles that say "Happy Birthday." I found a place where you can buy them individually! Isn't this cute? 5 letters...

The kids had a great, messy time!
So did the parents!
I know it's blurry, but it shows how much fun Robby had swinging at the pinata!

  2. Happy 5th Birthday to Robby! I agree-the two years that we knew him, Robby was so mellow and sweet and smart! Glad to see he hasn't changed in that respect. :) He must have good parents or something...
