I've seen this on a few of my friends blogs. I thought I'd try it out.
1. As a comment on this post, leave one memory that you and I (or Rob or our kids) had together. It doesn't matter if you know me a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. Next, if you want to, re-post these instructions on your blog and see the memories people write about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.
So maybe I do blog for comments... ;)

Ok, so this one is fun! I'm going to list two if that's ok :o) The first wasn't really a memory with you in it, but it was something you did. When I came home from the hospital with my twins you had bought me some AMAZING lilies! They were so beautiful and just lifted my spirits every time I looked at them. And of course, the fact that they are my favorite flower helped too! :o)
ReplyDeleteThen the second is when we met up just a few short months ago in Phoenix. It was so fun to see your kids getting so big and catching up!
Hey, remember when you were a freshman and you, me, Shandell, and Margie all dressed black and ran through Heritage Halls with our plastic guns and yelling? Ah, yah, that was funny.
ReplyDeleteAnd remember when I gave you those smiley stick-ons that you put in the back window of your car? I could always verify that it was indeed your car I was looking at by seeing those.
And remember when you told me that if you got a parking spot close to the store of your destination, that you were going to most likely have success? I still live by that--and it still seems so true. :-D
I'm trying to remember things from 10 years ago . . . I remember going to your Grandma's house in Orem with Lori & Shandell and we each had our own pizza to consume (how did I ever eat a whole pizza???) and we tried to stay up and watch Pride and Prejudice.
ReplyDeletei remember meeting you for the first time at Craig and Gloria's house when Justin came home (Craig and Gloria were still on a mission) and i thought you and rob were so nice. it was my first time meeting most of the family so i was nervous but you guys talked to me for a long time and made me feel comfortable.
ReplyDeletei also remember the time we came to visit you when we were both pregnant. However, it must have been not too near the end of my pregnancy because i remember jogging over to youto say hello. and trust me, i didn't have pain like you, but i definitely couldn't get around very well near the end. Waddling is an understatement for what i was doing! =)
I can sum it up in just a few words. Seattle hills, Snow, a Minivan without four wheel drive, and lots of crying!! You were so good to me, thanks for calming me down... thank goodness you were there with me that night! I would have lost it!
ReplyDeleteI remember my first Sunday in Seattle and talking to you. We hit it off right away. Jacob was so little then. A month later you were my visiting teacher.
ReplyDeleteA specific memory was when you invited me to the movie night at the community center. That was a lot of fun. Thanks for inviting me!
why is it that the alligator incident is one of the first that comes to mind?? ;)
ReplyDeleteI really couldn't narrow it down, though!!
miss you all...
The first time I saw you Julie, I was so taken back with your smile!! I remember thinking, wow, I wish I had a smile like that. You were so cute with Erica at the rest home when we would sing songs. I can still see you reading to all the kids! You were such a great mom then, and I know it's gotten even better since!!
ReplyDeleteIt was you who taught me to say (bear w my phonetics) watashi no namaya wa abby dess.
ReplyDeleteOh there are too many memories to put in this tiny box! You were such a fun, good, uplifting friend to have in hs and I am blessed to have met you!
Humm... just one? There are so many to choose from.
ReplyDelete>> 7-11 and a toilet bowl full of ice
>> E-mailing with your dad's WebTV system
>> Playing Sequence with you, Rob, and Ben. And you guys caught Ben cheating.
>> Erica and her first experience with snow
I just remember how fun it was to be dating at the same time. I thought about the day we went with Jose and Chela up to Nuns Park. It's not everyday that all four guys in one apartment are dating the girls that they will marry. I also remember Mike and Rob staining the deck!! Ok, this was fun to remember I will have to add this post to our blog. Great idea!!
ReplyDeleteLast night we found a birthday card you sent us years ago...
ReplyDeleteThe front tells us you're giving us a free dinner. (Sounds good, obviously!) We open it up to find a smashed cockroach w/instructions about when and where to place it and scream bloody horror!
Very, very funny.
