The Missing Tooth and Peter Rabbit

Erica's tooth finally came out last week...after months of being loose. I'm not sure which was the reason for it coming out: Robby asking to feel the loose tooth and then wrenching on it or at Erica's well-child appt, the doctor telling her to "keep wiggling it." Either way, it came out. She proudly got out of bed in the night and marched down the stairs with a HUGE grin. She announced that there were three people she wanted to call - her three sets of grandparents. She left a note for the tooth fairy that asked her to leave the tooth so Erica could take it to school the next morning. Erica asked once if the tooth fairy was me, but luckily, she didn't wait for an answer.

No one told me how gross and bloody her tooth-gap/torn gum would look that first night. I should have taken a picture the next morning, when it looked really cute! The new tooth was already poking up.


Erica's class did a little rendition of Peter Rabbit with songs and speaking parts. They were adorable. Here is Erica and her best friend from school. They both got assigned the same part, so they read together. I was so glad Rob and I were both able to go!

One of the highlights was when the kids fell off the back of the bleachers (he jumped, according to Erica). Or when three kids couldn't remember which order they were supposed to be standing in, so they traded places about six times in a row. :)
