I had so much fun putting together a slideshow for Erica's birthday. I could have included about five hundred more pictures...and in every single picture, Erica's personality shines through. She is our sunshine. Her enthusiasm radiates in everything she does. She has a great sense of humor and her laugh is completely contagious. She is curious about nature and already appreciates the beauty our earth has to offer. She is one of the friendliest 6-year-olds you will ever meet - and she's been that way since she was old enough to smile! She is an amazing older sister and is always willing to play with her brothers. She absolutely lives up to her name, which means "strong willed leader." But she leads in such a fun, kind way that no child can help but follow her. Her first word was a growl, followed by "dada." Her first sentence was "don't eat mine" (I wonder where she learned that from?).
Erica wanted a monkey party, so we had banana splits instead of cake (hence the candles in the banana). It was really fun to get to know quite a few of the kids from Erica's kindergarten class. We had a great time.

We are incredibly blessed to have Erica in our family. I know that our extended family would agree - she brings JOY to all who meet her!

ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Erica!! I remember seeing you for the first time at BYU and I thought, "What a beautiful smile, and sweet little curls!" Her birthday party looks really fun. I'll never look at a bananna the same way again! Her pictures are wonderful.
