Erica Randomness

Erica's dance moves:

Erica came home with a huge poster (her size, actually) that had all of the words to "There was an old lady who swallowed a fly..." on one side and then all of the pictures of things the old lady swallowed on the other. Erica showed it to me and then explained that the end of the song says, "she's dead of course." She then told me that since that is a horrible thing to say, the class decided to change the ending. What did they choose? Erica's picture now says "She blew up." Poor old lady. First she swallows a fly, spider, bird, cat, dog, goat, cow, and a horse, which jiggle inside of her...then she escapes death only to blow up.

Erica wanted to have a play date with a boy in her class. When I asked her if he's a nice boy, she said, "Soooooooo nice. He's as nice as me." ;)

Today, our Chinese neighbor invited the kids and I over for her baby's 100th day party. Rob was working, so I ventured over to their non baby-proof home sheepishly toting "my entourage." The entire time we were there, Erica was posing for pictures, serving people food, washing dishes, and clearing the table. They were all so impressed with her charm and helpfulness...all I could think is how messy my house is and how much I could use that help at home! :) Seriously, Erica is always such an amazing helper. Especially when it comes to helping with Jacob.

  1. Love the dance moves and what a great helper. I wish I could convince my kids to help out like that at home! And honestly I like Erica's ending to the old lady who swallowed everything. I think my kids would like that too. (=

  2. That's so funny! She blew up is a lot less horrible than she died, eh? :) Oh, the things that go on in the minds of little kids. She's such a character.

  3. She's so cute and clever! I love the pictures. It's great to see how their minds work. I've never heard of a 100th day party, is it an Asian tradition?
