Arizona Comes to a Close

Here is the last Arizona installment. I haven't had nearly as much time to blog lately. I also haven't been able to comment on other people's blogs much. Sorry I'm so out of touch! Life has been really busy and Jacob has started to sleep in (partly due to daylight savings), so my extra early morning hours are non-existant. Less blogging, but more sleep! :)

All of these pictures were taken on the last day of our vacation. Here are the kids making homemade lemonade from the lemon tree (see Arizona Adventures Part 1).

We went to Sonic for lunch - Erica really wanted to pose for pictures, so my mom and I each have about ten pictures of Erica posing by the fake flowers. ;)

Here's a good shot of Jacob's teeth! Number 7 is coming in right now.

Here is the Sonic advertisement shot. Think they'd pay for me for the rights to this picture?

We also went to beautiful Freestone park to ride the rides and see the ducks. Here are the kids riding the wave-runners. Look at those smiles!

Grandma has a big smile, too.

Here's the proof that I was there, too! My kids weren't being very cooperative in this photo.
This was the highlight...my kids wanted to ride the Ferris Wheel! It's for kids, but it even made me a little nervous. The man in front of me in line asked if his LITTLE girl could ride with my kids. She did not look old enough to ride, but what could I say? She ended up doing great. So did my kids! Erica was terrified at first, but after a few rounds, she had a grin to match her brothers.

Jacob enjoyed watching all the rides go round and round. It beat Baby Mozart for sure.

We rode the train around the park. Everybody had a really fun time, except it hurt my 80-yr-old pelvis to go over the bumpy tracks!! I think my mom was trying to hold the camera out of the picture...whoops!

Erica had her arm around Robby the whole ride! It was adorable!!

  1. What sweet pictures. You should let Erica pose more often, she's adorable. I love the focus your kids had when making lemonade, that can be a challenge. Thanks for sharing.

  2. I can't wait until my Ellie is old enough to appreciate this great park. I still think it's funny that you are where I grew up and I'm where you lived! :)
