Beginning in November, we have a crow infestation every afternoon/evening. See earlier post to read about my unnatural fear of crows. It took all of my courage (and my daughter) to venture out to take pictures. I felt like I had walked into an Edgar Allen Poe poem!
MY FIERCE PROTECTOR:
MY PROTECTOR SLACKING IN HER DUTIES:
Wow, that IS ALOT of crows! You haven't seen the movie The Birds, have you?... :)
ReplyDeleteWay to conquer your fear!! Thank goodness for Erika, your adorable protector!!
ReplyDeleteHoly cow!!! The amount of crows you have there is unbelievable. It is like a picture straight out of the Hitchcock movie "the Birds". I am glad you have a fierce protector though. Noelle saw the pictures and her first comment was "why doesn't she build a scarecrow?" She said that they would all go away if you did that. And we all known that 5 year olds are always right. (=
ReplyDeleteOH MY!! Are you kidding?? I don't know if I would be able to go out with all those. You're awesome! I guess this is the negative thing we can attribute to Tokyo.
ReplyDeleteHope everything is going well!
Truly creepy. I swear, the animals around here are possessed or something. And how DARE your protector neglect her duties???
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry! I am not afraid of birds, even after watching the move "The Birds" which you should NEVER see by the way or you won't go outside again! But I feel for you. I feel that way about spiders and just imagining a lawn and house full of spiders makes me want to die! Thank goodness for Erica to get them away for yoU! Maybe you should invest in a good hunting kitty...
ReplyDeleteEver since Hitchcock, there is something so erie and not normal about seeing so many birds at any one time...I'm so proud of you!
ReplyDeleteThe ravens in Seattle have over populated because they don't have many predators.
ReplyDeleteThat is very cute: you have nothing to fear with that stick and those pigtails; and the swinging part is great too!
ReplyDeletei agree with shauna about not having predators, so it should be legal to shoot a couple right? the animals around student housing are psychotic. remember the squirrel that jumped on the screen at your daughters face? aaagghhhh!!!
ReplyDeletewe are planning on january for you guys to come up! it will be so fun.
Poe is nothing--Hitchcock is what you should fear. I don't like crows either. The sound they make makes me think of dark winter days that are cold and sunless (I guess because there are no other birds around and no one is playing outside). I do, however, like Ravens. They are pretty and not quite and creepy looking. Wow, you should see all the hawks we have around here! They circle so low that you can see their 8-foot plus wingspans. Oh, wait, maybe you and La wouldn't want to see them... :)
ReplyDeleteRight before I checked your blog...I was looking out my front window and accross the street at my neighbor's house there were tons of crows. It really creeped me out! And then more came and more...I couldn't watch anymore because it was creepy! And I thought of you, and how you don't like them either. I am sorry you had to see that aweful sight! Good job Erica for protecting your mommy! :) Miss you guys!
