We fed Jacob his first "solid" food (if by any definition rice cereal can be considered solid) this past week. He was hilarious - the second he saw the spoon all his limbs started going crazy in excitement and anticipation. He was all smiles and happy squeals...until he had his first taste. In between bites, he would get all excited again until the STUFF hit his tongue. Then it was gags and grimaces. We had our older kids taste it just to prove that it really is disgusting. These photos were not staged.
Helping mom hold the spoon:
I don't know if this is fun anymore:
I'm DONE!
I feel so sorry for my baby brother:
Don't make me swallow!
Our kids would never qualify for a rice cereal advertisement!

LOL! Those pics of your kids eating it were too hilarious! Robby and Erica just cracked me up! Have you ever tried the flavored rice cereals? They cost a tiny bit more, but Felicity and my babies both loved the banana flavored ones. That might help with the grimacing! :o)
ReplyDeleteThat is so funny! :) Makenna loves rice cereal. I can still get her to eat it! haha. I can't believe Jacob is that big now! He is growing up so fast!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe Robby and Erica actually took a bite. All the girls had to do was look at the stuff and they felt their brothers pain. What a big boy Jacob is!
ReplyDeleteOur babies are growing up so fast! I just started Rachel on rice cereal and she liked it. Those faces are priceless!
ReplyDeleteThose are great pics. Rice cereal is one baby food that I actually like.....call me crazy :)
ReplyDeleteYou are such a good picture taker Julie! You always capture great moments.
ReplyDeleteThat's so funny. I always started my kids with fruits and veggies first and never even gave them plain cereal. I always thought it tasted nasty, that's why.
