Kindergarten, Here She Comes!

Last night we went to meet Erica's Kindergarten teacher for next year. She met a lot of kids that will be starting school with her. Unfortunately, we aren't sure which ones will be in her class. There were some really nice families. I was surprised at how many of the Kindergartners had younger siblings. Especially because most of the parents were 5-15 years older than me. I felt young! And a little crazy to have 3 kids already... :) Erica's teacher is fabulous - she is extremely enthusiastic, creative, and sweet. It was neat for Erica to tour the classroom. The thing that surprised us both is that there is a big pet bunny in the classroom! Apparantly it hops around during class. It is "potty trained" and only uses its cage and the bathroom. The whole thing kind-of freaked me out (I obviously didn't grow up with pets) but Erica was delighted! She said the funniest thing while looking at it's cage..."Look, mom! It eats chocolate chips!" I had to gently explain that she was looking at Rabbit's droppings. :)

  1. That story is hilarious! One you should keep in a journal for later :o) I can't believe she is old enough to be in kindergarten! Felicity just finished her first year, and I have to admit that I'm freaking out that she is now going to be a 1st grader. She can't be that old, can she??? ;o)

  2. Welcome to the blogosphere! I'm so happy you have joined us--I find this my favorite means of keeping in touch with friends and fam, plus it's basically my journal. Who needs scrapbooking when you have a blog? 2 years and counting for me...I love your pictures and stories--your kids are beautiful and smart and funny and sweet, like their mommy!

  4. Wow! I can't believe Erica's going to Kindergarten!! Do you know if she'll be going in the morning, the afternoon or all day? Oh, and that comment Robby made cracked me up -- what a little smarty pants!

    Love you all! :)
