Like I said in an earlier post, I am experimenting with cooking recently. If anyone needs some good, easy chicken or vegetarian dishes, let me know.
Today I made a cake that fell in the middle. =( Does anyone have any tips to keep your cake from falling in? The obvious one is to keep the oven door shut, but the cake looked done enough that I wanted to put tinfoil over the top so it wouldn't burn. Any tips from my baking friends? Does it mean the cake is too moist? Your help would be appreciated. This cake has a good flavor, but I can't seem to make it look pretty.

It sounds like you 're making cake from scrath, so...good luck with that. I only know tricks for making it not poof up in the middle. I love the pics of the kids, and little smiling Jacob--so sweet. I'm jealous of your weather.
ReplyDeletep.s. What happens if you add a little more flour? It may be your altitude--I hear some recipes just do that in certain altitudes...Betty Crocker never lets me down. :)
ReplyDeleteI don't bake much...but I know that answers.yahoo.com is a great resource for any questions that you have. You can search through thousands of questions and answers that yahoo users have asked/answered. I always go to this site when I need answers to questions!
ReplyDeleteSorry Julie, I tried my hand at homemade cakes for a while, but like the box versions better! I can't help you with the falling cake problem. Good luck! Let us know if you find the answer ;o)
