The Professor's Posse: Happy 6th Birthday, Jacob!!

Happy 6th birthday to my spunky, happy, talkative (!), intelligent, hilarious, and caring son. He keeps us all on our toes in a very fun way. Jacob adds a spark to this family that we enjoy everyday.

Jacob had a bit of a rocky beginning. After an extremely difficult pregnancy where I couldn't walk for four months, he was finally born. He had low oxygen levels and some bowel issues, so was whisked to the NICU (where they nicknamed him the "screamer" because he was bigger and louder than most of the other babies). I stayed in the hospital for a week until I re-learned how to walk enough to make it to our apartment. Then I had to go home without my baby. He joined us a week later.

This is me waiting at the top of the stairs of our apartment (I couldn't walk up or down) to be reunited with my little man.

Now my "baby" is in kindergarten. Time has gone so fast and I will really miss my mornings with him when he's in first grade in the Fall. We have so much fun together. I love this kid! Especially his smiles and hugs!
